BEXIMCO: Clarification on recent news regarding worker layoffs
In response to a DSE query dated December 22, 2024 regarding clarification on recent news published in a national daily on December 19, 2024 regarding laying off of 40,000 workers at 15 apparel units, the company has informed DSE, among others, the following:"....Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd. has been in operation and none of its units is laid off. 15 Apparel units mentioned in the news item were laid off are not concern of Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd."
